Southeast Alaska, or the Inside Passage, is one
of the state's most beautiful regions. Petersburg is the home
of some of the most pristine wilderness areas in the world. This
area offers over a thousand miles of shoreline, hundreds of islands,
a spectacular coastal mountain range with tidewater glaciers,
and large sections of wilderness. Petersburg provides protected
waterways, sparse population, and abundant wildlife to create
one of the largest, scenic, diverse and most accessible areas
in North America for sea kayaking. Experience the beauty of Southeast
Alaska by sea kayaking the Inside Passage.
Waterfront Bed and Breakfast can connect you with
4-hour guided tours through Tongass
Kayak Adventures. You will travel through our harbor and
up scenic Petersburg Creek. We will introduce you to the delights
of sea kayaking and the natural history of Southeast Alaska.
The creek is a magical place of eagles, salmon, meadows of wildflowers
and beautiful vistas. Daily tours leave 1 ½ hours before
high tide. Bring your camera, sunglasses, warm clothing and raingear.
Tongass Kayaks will provide snacks, and all kayaking equipment
including life jackets.
